2030 Discussion Thread

We have entered 2030! Currently the game date is January 5th, 2030.

If you want to get a final export in, the final OOTP15 export is due by this Friday, 4/29 at 6am CT.

I'll work on the OOTP17 conversion this weekend so stay tuned for more details then. Next week (May 2-6) will be spent making sure everyone is ready in OOTP17. The following week is then the target to start 2030 in OOTP17.

A reminder that free agent claims are now open for undrafted players from the draft pool and international amateurs. 1 claim per real-life calendar day.

Also remember that if you drafted an international amateur, you'll need to find him in the draft log then promote him (I'd recommend to the majors so you don't mess with morale) then demote to where you want in the minors.

Okay guys.. we're up and ready in OOTP17!

Required steps:
1. You MUST update your OOTP17 with the newest patch (OOTP17 - Patch #4 - v17.7.51)
-OOTP Forum URL: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-17-general-discussions/266148-ootp-17-update-4-version-17-7-51-available.html
-Remember to have your game closed when doing this
-Just install right over any older version of OOTP17, no need to unlicense then relicense

2. Download the new file (either full with images or just essentials - settings folder plus dat files) from http://www.afblbaseball.com/afbl/downloads/
-The download has the same in-game date of 1/5/2030

3. Once you have the zip file extracted into your OOTP17\saved_games folder, you MUST download the newest file update from within the game
-This update has a game date of 1/26/2030.

4. Export to show that you are all setup and ready to go in OOTP17 by Tuesday, May 3rd

My goal is to get everyone up and ready in OOTP17 by Tuesday May 3rd so we can run Spring Training sims on Wednesday and Friday. If necessary, we can push back the OOTP17 due date to Wednesday then run ST on Thursday and Friday.

I'll release a new OOTP17 file on Monday to bring us to the start of Spring Training.

Reports and Statslab are updated as well!

New file is up to bring us to the start of Spring Training. Game date is Feb 25, 2030. Reports will be updated in a moment and Statslab is coming soon.

I'd like to run the ST sims this week so let's try to get everyone ready by tomorrow or Wednesday. Please message me if you have any trouble at all or questions.

I'm returning P Dan Peters back to WV and P Curt Sims back to IL. It looks like the CPU released them when you auto'd your organization and they are decent prospects. Pay attention to that by checking your transaction log before exporting if you must auto your minors. Next time, I'll let them stay released and open to be claimed.

I must have mistyped his player ID when manually adding the international guys into the draft pool spreadsheet. Not sure if we can fix this so I'll reward Oregon a supplemental draft pick in the 2030 draft at the end of the 3rd round as compensation. Sorry John!

ST Sim 2 is on Friday, Opening Day is on Monday. Monday's sim is a mandatory export!
