Oregon Baseball Club
« on: May 16, 2013, 06:44:56 am »
I am pleased to announce that Oregon has been awarded one of the sixteen original clubs in the AFBL. The team will play in Portland, in a remodeled Multnomah Stadium (capacity 30,000, including standing room).

LFL: 317
LF: 324
LC: 374
CF: 405
RC: 379
RF: 334
RFL: 320

The wall is 25 feet high, and ivy covered, from foul ground in left field to left center, and 8 feet elsewhere in the outfield. Atop the 25-foot wall is actually the 18th Avenue sidewalk, from which pedestrians can watch some of the game.

The major league team will be nicknamed the Explorers. The minor-league affiliates are as follows:

AAA: Eugene Ducks
AA: Salem Cherries
A: Bend Beavers
RL: Sunrise Gators

I like the 18th Avenue sidewalk being apart of the stadium very cool! Any preference on the ballpark factors?

Looks like it traditionally played as a slight pitchers' park in the PCL (lots of foul ground, and fairly thick grass).

That said, I'd recommend you find the old park-factor spreadsheet that's floating around the OOTP forums -- you can plug in everybody's dimensions and it will spit out factors for the league. (Or you can eyeball it. Not that important, really.)

I'll get logos, colors, and uniform preferences up soon (hopefully today).

I did find that spreadsheet for Illinois's ballpark based on the old Sportsman's Park. That is a good idea to plug everyone's stadium dimensions and spit out factors. I'll have to check that out.

Our logo is a classic compass rose in navy and gold.

Home uniform should be white (#FFFFFF) with gold pinstripes (#C1B15C) and the logo on the breast.

Road uniform is faded gold (#E1D5AB) with navy (#101770) piping and navy block lettering reading "OREGON"

Hats are faded gold with a navy brim and the logo on them. Same hat for home and road.
