Welcome to 2040! We're just about to get started with baseball again as the Idaho Steelheads look to defend their back-to-back titles and try to make it a 3-peat.
We will have our two ST sims TOMORROW (Thursday) and Friday. Opening Day 2040 sim will be on Monday 5/7
I'm going to make it official and move our export due time from 530am to 800pm on sim days as I just can't reliably make mornings work with the twins and work so plan accordingly. So exports will be due at 8pm with sims happening sometime between 8-11pm on sim days.

We will be moving our sim schedule to be Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs nights (from Mon-Wed-Fri mornings) with sims happening between 8-11pm plus also adjusting the number of days per sim to 7 (from 10-11 normally).
Let me know if you have any questions or trouble with this. The discussion of this is going on in the AFBL Slack.
We are still simming tonight for ST Sim 1 and then again TOMORROW (Friday) for ST Sim 2. Then Opening Day 2040 will be on Monday 5/7 at 8pm CT to begin our new sim schedule.

We have completed Spring Training with ST Sim 1 on 5/3 evening during our new sim slot and ST Sim 2 this morning since I wasn't able to last night.
We'll start the 2040 Regular Season on Monday with Sim 1 which will be April 2-7 (Monday-Saturday, normally we'll be simming Sun-Sat but I advance 1 extra day on accident haha).

Remember we have moved to a new sim schedule so we continue with Sim 2 tomorrow (Tues 5/8).

Sim 22 was completed last night and everything is now updated.
Remember that we are going to be upgrading to OOTP19 after this season for 2041. Currently it's 50% off from their website. Also you can install OOTP on 2 systems per 1 license so if you want to share with someone else that is an option too.

AFBL rosters expanded to 40 for this sim. Ammy Draft pool was revealed before this sim which also includes IAFAs.

The injury bug is putting a hurt on my team. At least rosters are expanded.

Sim 25 (Thurs) and Sim 26 (tonight, Mon) are completed. Everything is now updated.
Sim 27 (Sept 23-29) will be tomorrow (Tuesday).
We will take a break on Wednesday night for July 4th then will wrap up the 2040 Regular Season with the final few games for Sim 28 (Sept 30 - Oct3) on Thursday July 5th evening.

Oops forgot to sim on Tuesday 7/3 so I ran Sim 27 (Sept 23-29) today. Everything is updated!
We will conclude the 2040 Regular Season with Sim 28 (Sept 30 - Oct 3) TOMORROW Friday July 6 at around 9am central.
Both WC2 races will come down to the final days! Good luck!

Sim 28 and the 2040 Regular Season are completed. Everything is updated.
We'll start the Playoffs whenever the playoff field is ready to start or, worst case, on Monday 7/9 evening.
Playoff Sim 1 will be Wildcard Series Games 1-3 and will be run as a RTS.

Reminder that will be moving to OOTP19 after this offseason. I'll grab exports 1 or 2 more times before the switch if you want to export again but you aren't required to do so.
I'll work on our offseason timeline tonight/tomorrow and let everyone know what I'd like to see for our time table for the next week or so to allow everyone to plan.

Ammy Draft and Season Awards inputted into the game. New file is up with the game date of 9 Dec 2040. Reports, StatsPlus, and StatsLab will be updated soon.
We are just waiting for Ontario and West Virginia to vote for the 2040 HOF Class in StatsLab which I'll cut off in a day or two before I release 1 more file in OOTP17.
Once we finish HOF Voting, I'll get that inputted into the game then will roll us over into 2041 followed by the transition to OOTP19. I'll decide once we get closer but I'm thinking we'll give everyone a week or so to get ready in OOTP19 before we start Spring Training 2041. Stay tuned and thanks for sticking through the longer offseason 8).

Final OOTP17 exports have been taken, 2040 HOF Class inducted, FA claims processed.
Working on getting the game rolled to 2041 currently. Plan for after that is to then start the process of moving AFBL from OOTP17 to OOTP18 then to OOTP19. This will take some time so stay tuned ;D.
Tomorrow (Fri 7/26) and into the weekend will be continuing to babysit the transition along with finally getting the 2040 Postseason MVP poll and 2030s TotD poll up on the Forum.
