Team MVPs / Re: Idaho MVPs

The 6 time Idaho MVP has been dethroned. Raul Silva, .288/41/97 with 53 stolen bases, 68 walks and 43 strikeouts ended 2046 with a 3.1 WAR. He handed his thrown over to starting pitcher, Jorge Reyes.

Reyes 15-5 3.07, won the 162nd game of the year to put Idaho into a 163rd game tie breaker. Reyes pitched 202 innings, struck out over 190 batters and posted a 5.1 WAR.

A close second was Anibal Gonzalez. The star closer had a year for the ages, 7-1 with a 0.55 ERA. He converted 38 of 39 save chances.

Congrats to Jorge Reyes.

Team MVPs / Re: Idaho MVPs

Ho hum, Raul Silva is the Steelheads MVP once again.

The 30 year old played 162 games at DH this season. He lead the league in runs scored, 130, and home runs, 40. posted a slash line .293/40/109, 130 runs, 64 stolen bases. He walked 98 times and struck out only 37 times. Although his season was a bit uneven, he posted 5.5 WAR qualifying for his 8th all star game.

He is on target to surpass 300 HR and 500 SB next season. Great job once again!
