Don Wilson is out for 4 days but will be on the Aviators playoff roster. Wilson went 13-8, 3.16 this season to give him 204 career victories. He's 37 years old, and the only player on my roster who has played in the playoffs before. He's an interesting character, mainly because of his reliability and versatility. When he was struggling on the mound back in 2026 (with a career worst 5.15 ERA), he tried to play 3B, but he only hit .237 during that 2 week long experiment, so he moved back onto the mound... and rebounded to go 13-9 with a 2.87 ERA the following season.
He is perhaps the best hitting pitcher in AFBL history - .275-15-79 in his career - and was probably the pitcher who was most against the introduction of the DH.
He's actually my 3rd round pick (34th overall) from the inaugural draft, which had me thinking... are there any other players from the original draft still going strong besides Wilson?
