2036 - A season in Review
« on: September 08, 2017, 08:27:52 pm »
Another non playoff season for Idaho. A 7-0 finish would give the club 79 wins, so probably looking at a 75 win year. It was not all bad in 2036.

Loren Dobson crossed the 1200 RBI mark and the 1000 run level.
Vic Taylor struck out his 1000 batter.

Young outfielders Sanchez and McCarthy made their debuts and CF Ty Wilkerson has reached 280 hits and 79 stolen bases before age 23.
2030 6th round pick Joe Leslie made his AFBL debut and launched 12 home runs in 100 games.

22 year old pitcher Guevara posted a 3.4 WAR in his first full season.
Young closer De Jesus was 252 for 25 in save situations.

On the down side, 2nd year catcher Wintle saw his power number decline down to 14 home runs. SS, Lucio Souza battled injuries all season and only played in 88 games.

The management of the club is hoping for a big leap from Sanchez, McCarthy, Wilkerson in 2037 along with continuing maturation of the pitching staff, Guevara, Gonzalez, Vazquez.

Loren Dobson should cross the 2000 hits mark in 2037 and we will discuss other attainable 2037 milestones in a coming post...
