Canada gets awarded Franchise.

Globe and Mail: Canadian team to be one of the Original franchises in the new AFBL!

We learned late last night the Commissar of the AFBL had approved the request of The Canadian baseball Organization chief Paul Quantrill to include a team in Canada for the Leagues first season. We wern't begging or anything we just asked if he would allow us to start one franchise here and we were wiling to wait for later down the road but he surprised us with the letter of acceptance and we are extremely happy and cant wait for this season to start. 

We have Named Jonathan Warren the GM of this New franchise that will play out of Ontario.

The team name and where their minors will be playing will be released tomorrow.

The Ontario baseball team has announced where there minor league teams will play:

AAA: Toronto Blue Jays

AA: Knoxville Smokies

A: Ottawa Lynx

R: Punta Gorta Bulldogs

What will the Ontario major league team's mascot be?

Also, is Knoxville in Ontario or province nearby? I can only locate a Knoxville, TN, USA.

Globe and Mail: Ontario has announced their Mascot!!

We have spent 4 days arguing over what the logo should be and we would like to say that it came to a country wide vote and we will be the ONTARIO BLUE PIRATES!!!
The logo was decided because we have kinda taken over a team in a way cause it was supposed to be a all USA league and we are sponsored by Labatt Blue.

Globe and Mail: Canadian team makes first picks in draft.

The Ontario Blue Pirates have made the first to picks in team history and they are 25 year old 2B Pat MacGruder and 27 year old SS Juan Rojas they may have been some controversy over the 2nd pick because of how many highly ranked players were left but these player are expect to be here for years to come.
