...with the DH coming in 2017 ...

Since when? I didn't know this passed the winter meetings vote? Am I missing something?

It's not... Just Interleague Play for a single season (for now) in 2017.
Opps i need to learn to not write when tired, i got mistaken with DH and interleague, Least i know now that people read my work :)

Well you are a BIG rival ;)

Lets Get this off my chest I hate starting new threads. I haven't talked about my team in a while but since we are good and I have Free time.

Globe and Mail: What The Pirates will look like this Season

For the Rotation [career rec] (last Season)
#1 Juan Castillo 39-41 4.17 era (11-7 3.81) Trade With Colorado 2014, he should be way better this year I hope I have a hitters park
#2 Brad Fletcher 77-62 3.79 (23-8 3.32) 2013 inaugural draft 9rd, 141st overall, Was awesome and lucky last year but sucked in playoffs lets hope next year is just as good.
#3 Lonnie Simmons 36-41 4.28 (6-14 3.98) 2018 OFF season trade with New York, should pitch better here in Ontario plus doesn't give up homers which is awesome for my park.
#4 Dan Robinson 9-3 2.66 (6-2 2.68)  2016 draft 2rd 19th pick, has peen a MR for the most part of career but he showed promise last year in Rotation
#5 Nate Crane 41-39 4.17 (10-9 4.83) 2017 Trade with Virgina, is getting older probably wont be in staff all year but he is solid for now.
Possible futures starters for 2019
Bob McGuire 23 2-1 6.41 2013 inaugural draft 117rd 1689th Overall, got a few talent boosts might be a starter not sure.
Andy Simpson 25 NEVER PLAYED 2018 trade with Virgina, Might be a better option the then Bob
Jan Lane 36 34-45 5.12 (5-11 6.02) 2018 trade with Virgina, Not the Greatest player but could start probably will if there's a Injury.

Bullpen: ranked 2nd best last year with the best pitcher ;)
Long Relief: Jonathan Kirk 11-21-1 5.22 (6-7-0 5.20) 2018 trade with Virgina, Could move to MR but for now is long man. Im hopping he develops so a Rotation spot would be a future thing
MR: Dave Bebbington 31-46-6 4.72 (5-2-0 3.67)  2013 inaugural draft 41st 653th overall, been around since the start, had a very important start in playoffs and got the win against NJ
MR: Jos? Lara 9-9-3 4.27 (3-6-3 4.13) 2013 inaugural draft 86th 1364 overall, pretty good option out of the pen
MR:Johnny Reeves 28-24-7 3.60 (5-6-1 2.40) 2017 Trade with Virgina, Had his best year last year and 26 holds hopefully ST stats dont come in during in season.
MR: Rob Shaffer 5-1-2 2.42 2016 draft 3rd 35 overall, Had a great first half 0.42 era but the 2nd half not soo good hopefully he is constant this year.
SU: Len Gould 27-21-57 3.62 (6-2-0 4.37) 2018 trade with Colorado, brought back Len because I needed a experienced Setup man and I had thoughts of him being closer but not after Robs last year
CL:Roberto Maillot 28-18-95 1.72 (2-4-48 1.04 0.65whip)2013 inaugural draft 8th 116th pick, Rob took to starting his 2nd full time season as closer in style and just got better, 48 save 2nd in league plus how can you beat that WHIP and is looking to be better this year!!!
Possible futures relievers for 2019
Clint Berry 26 1 game in Majors looks ready will be up if injurys.
Augusto Rivera 11-8-3 4.27 (1-2-2 5.26) 2018 trade with Washington, Is my first call if injury a vet arm to come up and help and has post season exp
Robbie Kerrison 8-13-17 4.47 2014 Trade with Colorado, was  injured last year but had a good season in 2017 so he is 2nd on call ups this year
Curt Hardin 12-33-63 (4-4-5 5.11) 2018 trade with New York, Not the greatest player and has declined alot but too much depth never killed you and Robbie wont be a round forever.
Alex Jackson 25-19-40 4.55 (2-5-17 6.99) 2018 Trade with Virgina, depth is what he was brought back for and he is younger then Robbie

Batting Line Up

Globe and Mail: Pirates GM tells us about his new look Blue Pirates after Series loss last season

For the starting staff with the loss of Robinson last season and the trade of Saito the rotation looks like this.

#1 Juan Castillo
#2 Brad Fletcher
#3 Lonnie Simmons
#4 Jonathan Kirk
#5 Joe Bennett

The other options for starters are Ken Torphy, Bob McGuire and Jos? Cruz

After the trade of 2 bullpen stars this is what it looks like

CL Roberto Maillot
SU Rob Shaffer
MR Joel Adams
MR Ant?nio Camacho
MR Steve Pearcy

Other pen arms could include Jeremy Goodman, Terry Wellenberg, Clint Berry, Bob McGuire and Tim Marshall

In tonight's addition we will look at the Hitters.
