Baseball in New Jersey, it just has a certain ring to it. Elysian Fields, Hoboken 1845, possibly the start of baseball as man came to know it. Now baseball is back in the proud state of New Jersey, with the announcement of the New Jersey Athletics joining the AFBL.
The Athletics will be based out of New Brunswick and within reach of the entire population of the state, truly a team from the state, for the state.
The organisation will mainly keep to the state of New Jersey, however the AAA team has been placed in Delaware, in the city of Wilmington, where the Eagles will play.
For the AA affiliate, Trenton becomes the home of the Owls, and Hoboken has the Single A Falcons making their home there. In the Florida Rookie League the Sarasota Wolves will hope to be the breeding ground of the stars of tomorrow.
The Athletics will wear will be decked out in Egyptian Blue pinstripes, sporting the famous NJ logo, with Yellow caps at home and full Egyptian Blue uniforms with Athletics across the front, away from home.
The logos for all teams within the New Jersey organisation have been announced, while the uniforms for the Athletics have also been revealed, with a couple of fine bat-boys modelling the new kit.
An announcement will be coming soon about the new stadium at New Brunswick.
Also a big thanks to those over at OOTP Mods, I 'borrowed' some of the logos from there and adjusted the team names to fit with the teams within my organisation, all credit for the original design goes to them.
