The Alpines thought this year would see major improvement and the expectation was .500.
Owner/General Manager Troy Olsen has said he is disappointed but isn't giving up.
"We have high expectations for our players at every level from Rookie to Major League. That just isn't happening right now." Olsen said.
Olsen also is surprised by some of the slow starts and even called out his pitching captain.
"We made some huge moves last season at the deadline." Olsen said, "When all those moves were made I called Bob (Peters) into my office. I told him he would be the ace and he embraced it with an awesome 2nd half. Now after 8 starts he seems lost. He needs to right his ship if this team is going to compete."
It'll be interesting to see if these comments or the rumors of trading Peters fire him up and "rights the ship."
