Wow...talk about a surprise..after being down 3 games to 0 against Texas...we somehow win the last 4 games...including the last two at the road. It was a weird series for us. We normally win with offense..especially the long ball....but in this series 5 of the seven games we limited the Isotopes to 2 runs or less...including all three of the final games.
How could we score if all our best batters are on the disabled list? ... Jose Martinez got injuried in the fifth inning of the fourth match and since then, 5 runs scored for Texas in 31 innings (we had 15 scored in the previous 30). The worst thing is that my pitcher Phil Baker batted in 2 of those 5 runs...fucking shameful! Somehow we won the FL East with out shitty offense but if you take it from us for the playoffs it is impossible. Just 1 fact, we are the fourth team with less runs batted in during the regular season with 617 runs, few more than Idaho (591), Ohio (574) and North Carolina (476) and they are teams with less than 70 wins this season. How do we arrive here? How could we win the FL East? How could we be the best team in the FL?
Who knows!! I was trying to avoid the injuries in the last sims putting in the lineups a lot of people from the minor league teams and thats why we finished the season with a crazy 0-6 run, but even with those tricks the injuries arrived one more year and of course, as always, to the key players.
Anyway, congrats NM for the huge comeback! It was something expected in our clubhouse because it is not the firstime that happens to us and of course, Texas is eliminated in the same round every year so this couldnt be different.
PD: fuck you gof of the injuries!!!
