I am in a real-life sim using Diamond Mind software and Zips projections. The league has 30 teams, 25 player active roster 25 player reserve roster and 5 draft rounds per year. We simulate GM life by signing free agents, mirroring real money in MLB and such. Pretty realistic. We sim 7 games a week, following the real season schedule, but with teams we've assembled ourselves. Free Agency starts in February, so you have plenty of time to learn. Rules and concept are pretty straight-forward.
We have two openings after booting absentee owners. Minnesota and Cleveland. Minnesota has a lot of players and cash on hand, not a lot of talent. Cleveland has some talent and prospects (Schwarber, Jose Fernandez), but is over budget before making off-season cuts. Both are good challenges in a formerly weak division.
It's a more pedestrian pace than this league and different feel. More banter, time to absorb what is going on and real players and prospects to track. If you don't own DMB, there's no purchase necessary. Take a look around the league page, see the forums section for rules.
