Tough choice - came down to Jake Ladner at the plate and Shaun Edwards on the mound.  In the end, going with Shaun Edwards.

A disappointing season for the team this year.  Pat Mathis is our Team MVP - hitting .263 but with 37 homer and 120 RBI's.  Runner's up was RP Ben Day and 2B Rodrigo Corujo, who was held back because of injuries.

2025 MVP is Rodrigo Corujo who burst onto the scene with a .342 average.  Once he got on base  he kept running with 8 triples and 50 stolen bases.

Hey guys, I'm going back through my history to update these!

The Kentucky Lions had a rough 2027 season, winning just 50 games, but I have to name CF Joe Ross as the MVP. Ross, who was in his second full season in the big leagues, hit .277 in 606 at-bats and hit 34 home runs, while driving in 121.

With 71 wins, the Lions finished fifth in the division once again in 2028. 1B Jake Ladner was the MVP of this team again, as he led the offense with 40 home runs. Ladner drove in 113 runs, second to only Joe Ross who had 116 RBI's. Ladner got on base at an impressive .442 clip, hitting .298 and scoring a team-high 107 times.

In 2029, two additional wins brought Kentucky two spots higher in the standings to third place. While Ladner and Ross each had impressive years, the MVP for this season is Rodrigo Corujo, who hit a career-high .358 in 688 at-bats. Though he has never hit for power, Corujo's bat was sure to frighten any pitcher who dared challenge him. He scored 112 runs, also a career-high, and stole 29 bases.

The 2030 season was a step forward for the Lions, led by second baseman Rodrigo Corujo. The 28 year old hit .343 and scored a team-best 97 runs while playing solid defense for Kentucky. He is sure to be a team leader moving forward as we transition into a brand new season!

The difficult 2031 season has finally drawn to a close for the Kentucky Lions, but not without it's positives. Many young players showed production in the latter part of the season, and old assets were sent away in return for the hope of future promise. The leader of the squad has been the embodiment of consistency through his Kentucky career. Designated hitter Jake Ladner is the 2031 Most Valuable Player among the Lions. Ladner posted an on-base percentage of .413, leading the league with 116 walks on the season, despite a stint on the disabled list. Ladner added 17 doubles and 18 home runs, leading to 62 runs batted in. Despite his age, Ladner has stayed productive in Kentucky.

Kentucky finished at the bottom of the division once again in 2032, but once again Jake Ladner was the picture of consistency for Lions fans. The 39 year old now designated hitter launched 29 home runs and had a .374 on base percentage. He played in all 162 games and had an OPS+ of 136.

The 2033 season saw some young talent start to blossom in Kentucky. Many players who look to be staples for years to come made their debuts or continued to gain experience on the big-league diamond.

One young player stood out among all the rest.

In his third major league season, 'The' Jose Rodriguez finally had a breakout performance. The Cuban infielder played second, third, and shortstop for the Lions this year, and at the plate he collected career highs in batting average (.305), on-base percentage (.323), doubles (29), runs batted in (57), stolen bases (34), and wins above replacement (3.5). The 22 year-old appeared in 149 games and will look to improve on his performance in seasons to come.
