2018 Virginia Team MVP = SP - Doug Walker

Walker also wins the Virginia Most Improved Player Award for 2018.
He won the PL Pitcher of the Year award for 2018 after missing all but one game of the 2017 season due to injury!

The 2019 Virginia Club MVP is SP - Jon Simms
Simms was also named the AFBL PL Rookie Of The Year for 2019

The 2021 Virginia Diamond Club member of the season is: Pete Murray

No surprise here as Murray won the AFBL Triple Crown and took home honors for the Patriot League's Most Valuable Hitter. He was also selected to the Patriot League All Star team.

In 2021 Murray set AFBL highs for a single season in the following categories: Hits, Batting Average, RBI, Slg Pct, On Base plus Slugging Pct, WAR, VORP, Total Bases, Games Played.

Pete Murray played in all 162 regular season games and all 20 post season games

2024 saw a split of the Diamond Club Player Of The Year Award. The Co-winners are:

Valdemar Legarth

&

Jon Simms

This is the second time that these two players have shared the award. The first time coming in 2020.

This is the second time Legarth has been honored with the award.

This is the fourth time Simms has been honored with the award.

SP - Joe Crowder

The first homegrown (not traded for or picked in the expansion draft) player of the year for our club.
Joe was our 3rd round amateur draft selection (#42 overall) in 2018

Kurt Allen

Kurt was named the AFBL PL Rookie Of The Year, he was also selected to the 2028 PL All Star Team. All while learning to play Third Base on the fly, having previously only played at First Base and in the Outfield.
