I created an AFBL Slack site to test out another daily chatter tool that is similar to GroupMe. It is email invitation only so check your email if you haven?t joined. I?d like to see you on at least Slack but we are not abandoning GroupMe yet so join both if you haven't already haha. If you need help with either, let me know. It is optional but some sort of daily chat/shoutbox is a great tool to have for an online league.

Looks like the game auto-released everybody who was above his league's age limit. Fine by me (these guys were organizational depth and several would have been cut this offseason anyway) but unexpected

Tommy Carr of the Vipers won his 5th batting title in the FL.  At least something positive happened for us this year.

New file is up which just advanced us 4 days to 11/15/2026. Our next new file will be after we finish the draft or Tuesday, October 13th afternoon.

Let's get moving on the Ammy Draft, Season Awards, Team MVP, and Postseason MVP. Plus I need 3 teams votes for the 2010s Team of the Decade.

No new file today as we continue to work on getting the Ammy Draft completed. Our next new file will be after we finish the draft or Tuesday, October 13th afternoon.

Be sure to vote for Season Awards (Statslab) and Postseason MVP (Forum) by Friday, October 9th. Also name your 2026 Team MVP and any missing years for your franchise. Only 1 team left to vote for the 2010s Team of the Decade ballot.

Three retirements out of Oregon, including Ned Haas at 45. He'd had some injuries in recent years, but given his ratings he probably could have pitched until 50.

I don't have anything for this offseason currently.

On the horizon...
-Sim schedule (stay at Mon-Wed-Fri simming 10 game days or go to a more daily sim going 1 game week per sim?)
-Expansion (down the line to get to 24 teams)
-Ammy Draft date (keep November draft or move to June/July based on previous season's standings to avoid offseason non-sims)
