2028 Discussion Thread

We have finished the 2027 Offseason and now are at the start of the 2028 Spring Training. I have everything updated as of today with a new file, HTML Reports, and Statslab.

1st half of Spring Training (14 games) will be on TUESDAY and 2nd half of Spring Training will be on THURSDAY. I need to see at least 1 export for the ST sims.

Opening Day 2028 will be MONDAY 12/21 which will get us back to our normal Mon-Wed-Fri exports due at 6am CT sim schedule. Good luck this year!

I forgot to move drafted international players onto R-league rosters, so check you picks and make sure they are all there.  If one is missing, find him with the search function, move him to A-ball, and then to R-league (or wherever you want him).  Moving them straight to R-league won't work.

FYI, If you move a drafted international player all the way up to the active roster, then drop him to rookie league, it doesn't hurt his mood like moving him to A and then to R does.

I'm still stuck on 11/7/2027....when I try to download (in-game) it just gives me the message "There is no updated league file available on the server".

Darn.. Try this: close your game, navigate to \saved_games\AFBL.lg\settings\, then delete 'online_league_file_time.cfg', open up your game and try the in-game download again.

K...I'll give that a try. I opened it up again and noticed that half of my team is a fellow named J.Unknown. Push comes to shove I'll delete the game and redowload the full league file and then update that way.

Spring Training Sim 1 is completed. New file is up with Reports and Statslab are coming soon.

I need to see an export from the following teams for Thursday's ST Sim 2 since they missed today's export...

So, why am I wasting my time setting the strategies if the game is going to do what he wants? I am trying to see the how the kids play giving them more innings and the game is doing the fucking opposite. Players like Manuiz had 0 pitchers when I have him with the "use more often" option. Kennedy, Wilkins and Bader are with the "normal usage" option and they were the ones with more pitches in the first sim

ST 2nd Half sim is tomorrow morning! Be sure to export if you missed the 1st ST sim. I will auto your organization if you've missed both ST sims. Opening Day is Monday and is a mandatory export as well.

The past year Montoya, Taylor and Baker injured, 3 of my best pitchers. This season has not started yet and I have lost my best reliever for 12 months.  Tommy John Surgery jajaj. AMAZING!
