2017 Winter Meetings: Topics To Discuss

  • Interleague Play: currently scheduled to return to non-interleague play for next season, stick with this or keep interleague play?
  • Designated Hitter: keep as is with no DH, 1 league with DH, or both leagues with DH?
  • Anything else?

I maintain the same thoughts as before.

- Prefer NO DH
- Prefer Interleague play.  This past season was excellent.  We're are here, we should all be playing each other.

As much as I dislike it in real life, I enjoyed interleague this past season and would be 100% behind keeping it in place.

Keep interleague play.

Neutral at this time on DH, seems fine as is for the time being.

Ditto.

I don't care for the DH, but won't argue against a majority on it.

 - No to DH
 - No to Interleague

Also, just a general comment of frustration that us expansion teams missed the 2016 Draft Pool of the Century.  The top players in this draft would have struggled to get taken in the 1st round last year!  :'(

Yes to Interleague play.
I don't like DH in real-life but don't mind it in OOTP. So whatever.

Yeah sorry about that haha. That will be a single exception unfortunately. Screwed up with adding the feeder leagues too late last season so I had to manually create the pool which was probably too strong of a draft class heh. I also believe that the draft pools will get better in the next few years as the feeder leagues get going.

Yes to DH. DOn't understand why anyone is against it in this game. Starting to come around to not understanding why anyone is against it in real life too.
Yes to Interleague.
Yes to my team actually looking like a major league team next year.

I've actually gone the other way, the reason for keeping the DH out is that it makes the GM make real decisions.

In another league I have a great hitting prospect who has butter on his glove and lead in his shoes... do I risk him at 2B, or try to convert him into a 1B or just say he's a waste of space? With the DH I don't have to think, I just dump him there and give him another box of donuts - not much fun in that. My opinion anyway from the 'other side'.
