Until the royals give the cardinals the 1985 title that rightfully belongs in St. Louis I have no interest in seeing them win or take part in the playoffs
Wow, really? Get over it. Cards lost fair and square they had two more miscues AFTER the Denkinger call, that's what cost them the game and gave up the winning run. Then another game to make it up and instead rolled over and quit.
And that's why KC fans are the best. Grateful for what we have! After 29 years, that stadium was rocking, on their feet and loud for 10 of the 12 innings. We made Lester uneasy, we made the outfielders collide when they couldn't hear each other, we believed and cheered our team for the magnificent season and they rewarded us by scraping back into the game run by run - something this offense shouldn't be able to do. Emotional, ecstatic, best sporting event I've ever been to, and the loudest baseball can get. I've been to Chiefs games, and this outstrips any I've been to (which isn't many), I went to KU and experienced the incredible intensity of basketball at Allen Fieldhouse, but this game had more tension and emotion and hope in it for every single fan in that stadium.
I hope everyone can experience a game like that. There won't be many.
