I'm working on getting Statslab ready for the draft and should be able to get things ready in a few hours.
Maryland has the 1st overall pick and can start the draft whenever they are ready.
24-hour running timer that resets after each pick will start at 12am CT. After the 1st round, we'll try a 13-hour running timer for the following rounds and decrease it if necessary.
Please be sure to stay aware of when your pick is coming up so you can either: pick yourself, list pick from your Statslab draft queue (make sure you keep enough players to cover to at least your next pick!), or set yourself to auto.
Thanks guys!

I have the draft ready to go in Statslab

Also remember that our Ammy Draft includes both players from our feeder leagues in the 'Draft Pool' section in the game as well as the 'International Amateur FAs'.
I always add both sections (Draft Pool and International Amateur FA) of players to my OOTP17 player shortlist then unshortlist players as they are selected in Statslab.

We are doing great so far on drafting. Thanks guys!
We are currently on pick 1-8 with Idaho. Followed by Kentucky, Ohio, and North Carolina.

Will be interesting to see whether or not I can get Simpson to develop on both offense and pitching (he's an 8/8/8 SP prospect as well)

Very cool. That will definitely be something worth watching!

North Carolina is up at pick 1-11.
We will have to pause the draft after pick 12 until we finish the Wildcard Series.
Fantastic work guys getting 10 picks done on the first day of the draft!

I've been trying a similar experiment in NPBL with Kane David (http://npblbaseball.com/npbl/reports/news/html/players/player_12900.html). Drafted as a SS, and we used him both ways in rookie league. 44 relief appearances (netting 18 saves) plus 33 starts at SS (where he hit .286/.326/.361 with decent D). But he doesn't have the endurance to be a SP, and while he's an OK prospect in the infield, he's a much better one at pitcher.
Simpson will probably start as a pitcher, and DH on other days.
I've also used Jimmy Norris (http://www.afblbaseball.com/afbl/statslab/player.php?player_id=404) as a two-way player. He was an all-star as a LF in 2026, and was twice pitcher of the month as a SP in 2029. This year he got some time as DH (260/314/490 in a little over 100 PA) and pitched a bunch. But he also blew out his elbow at the end of the year, so who knows.

Let's keep this going guys! NC is up for just under 13 more hours at pick 1-11.
-
We are into the 2nd round now with Ontario up at pick 2-4 for just under 13 hours.
The draft timer will be a running 13-hour clock that resets after each pick.
Please continue to stay prepared for your pick either making your pick in a timely matter live, set yourself to List with enough players to cover through your pick, or set yourself to Auto for the CPU pick.

TX is up for pick 2-20 for just under 13 hours.
The clock continues as a 13-hour running timer that resets after each pick for the 3rd round.

We are just past halfway in the 4th round. Keep up the good pace guys! Thanks!
