In-game date: Offseason 2020.

Young West Virginia superstar Alan Bryan had amassed 18.3 WAR in his four-year Hollers career, including 132 home runs and a .936 OPS. He was flipped to New Mexico for 25 year-old ace starting pitcher Tim Weaver, who had only one season under his NM belt. Weaver pitched for the Hollers for three full seasons before moving on to New Jersey to play the rest of his career. The implications of this trade are FAR reaching and the echoes can still be heard today throughout the AFBL.

New Mexico gets:

Alan Bryan - 23.7 WAR Value

2021 3rd rd pick from WV (Tough to nail this one down, history seems incomplete.

TOTAL WAR VALUE: 23.7

West Virginia gets:

Tim Weaver

20 WAR in 85 starts for WV before his trade to NJ.

His trade brought back the following players:

SP Eric Price 1.5 WAR with WV, traded after one season to VA as part of package that brought in the following: (I'll assign him 20% of the WAR that came back as he was traded with two other solid SP and a 1st, 2nd, and 6th round pick.)
-----1B Pete Murray 7.4 WV WAR
-----LF Valdemar Legarth 32.4 WV WAR
SP Jose Melendez 33.9 WV WAR, traded mid 2033 to CA
-----LF Alan Graves* who currrently has 15.5 WV WAR and is still going strong.
-----SP Antonio Goudino* has 34.1 WV WAR mid-way through his age 29 season.
-----SP Joel Reece accumulated 6.4 WV WAR and was traded to Kentucky after 2+ full seasons. Reece  brought back in the 2038 offseason along with RP Cesar Farias, who was at the tail end of his career, we'll give 95% WAR to Reece:
----------RP Xing-peng Xiang* Yet to reach AFBL, but likely will soon. Could be a mid-late rotation starter.
----------1B Jerry Sutton* 10.7 WV WAR through age 26.5 season
----------LF Chad Miner* Replacement level AAAA player so far
----------C Pat Gallo 1.6 WAR through parts of 4 seasons
LF Tobias Bouwhuis -0.4 WV WAR, part of 4 seasons
NJ 1st round draft pick (probably 2023, maybe 24)
-----SP Eddie Nelson was traded to Indiana before he ever made it to WV, he had 21.4 WAR in his 16 year career, he brought back (50% as he was traded with others):
----------2B Rob Carter who accumulated 5.9 WV WAR in his career after a long and successful Indiana career.

TOTAL WAR VALUE: 132.6 and counting
