Indiana closer Willie Watson is now the AFBL's all time leader in consecutive saves converted. He hasn't blown a save in 49 chances.
There aren't a lot of tight races this season as we approach the deadline. However...
- 3 of the 4 divisions are in runaway mode right now, though New Jersey is currently on a 5 game losing streak with their 8 game lead. The PL South has a hot North Carolina team leading both West Virginia and Virginia by 4 games.
- The PL wild card has the previously mentioned WV and VA as the 2 recipients at the moment with Ontario 5 back.
- In what was easily the tightest division last year, the FL East is currently the most out of reach as Illinois continues to dominate with an 11 game lead on Indiana (despite being swept by the Vipers this sim).
- New Mexico has faltered a bit but they still maintain a 6 game cushion for a playoff spot in the wild card. Indiana holds the second WC spot with a small 2 game lead over Texas. Oregon and Kentucky are still in the hunt as well.
