A newly formed Indiana Professional Baseball team is pleased to announce the following:

The Indiana Vipers will call Fort Wayne home in their inaugural season of the American Federation Baseball League.  The Vipers will be part of the western based Frontier League with proximity to teams in Kentucky and Illinois. The Vipers will play their home games in downtown Fort Wayne at the newly built stadium called The Snake Pit.  More information will be coming in the near future concerning league and team rosters.

Owner Jason Knuth said, "This is an exciting time to be a baseball fan, not only here in Fort Wayne, but the entire state of Indiana."

The AAA affiliate of the Indiana Vipers will be the Indianapolis Indians.

The AA affiliate of the Indiana Vipers will be the Evansville Venom.

The A affiliate of the Indiana Vipers will be the Fort Wayne TinCaps.  The Vipers felt it was important to have a team nearby to showcase the future of the team.

The rookie league affiliate of the Indiana Vipers will be the St. Cloud (Florida) Silver Hawks.
