OOTP17 Discussion
« on: February 19, 2016, 02:33:03 pm »
Hey guys..

I plan to move us to OOTP17 (assuming NPBL is doing the same) so I wanted to get that plan discussion started. OOTP17 comes out March 22nd so that would mean the earliest we could move is 2030.

OOTP17 is available for preorder now for $34.99. There is volume discount pricing if we get 10 or more copies to bring the total down to $31.49. Is this anything we want to do as a league using PayPal/similar to pool the money to together?

I am down for the new game. I barely play solo any more, but if AFBL and NPBL both move to the new version I will without a doubt get it.

Wonder how volume purchase works with distributing the license codes/etc?

Yeah that's what I'm wondering as well. I would imagine the buyer would get an email with the number of purchased keys that would work on 2 systems each. We could even purchase 10 keys and share those with the 20 owners. If this is too much of a hassle for the <$5 savings, no big deal to me.

Based on history in the NPBL, if we don't migrate to 17, we're going to have a very hard time filling vacancies as they come up.

Unless I see a large group that really wants to do the volume discount, go ahead and pre-order on your own. Remember that your key can be used on 2 systems so you can share a key with a friend. Email me if you will have financial trouble getting OOTP17 before next AFBL season.

Are we all on board to move to OOTP17 next season or should we wait until the 2031 season?
