Idaho 2031 Season Thread
« on: July 29, 2016, 02:04:30 pm »
A horrible April (7-13) for Idaho has lead to a major shakeup. Fan favorite, Ed Cameron has been traded to Ohio for pitching ace, Bob Parker.

The Steelheads have moved young former 1st round pick, Shojiro Chouda to CF, Jesus Hernandez to RF and veteran David Pegas to LF. Additionally veteran Mike McKinney has come back to the big league club and achieved his 150th career homerun and 900th career hit.

Looks like 2031 is going to be a long season in Idaho...

A slow start cost Idaho a shot at the playoffs. 17-31 through May the team rallied to finish the season 41-21 from August onward and ended with a nice 86-76 record. The season was not a complete loss as numerous milestones were accomplished:

Mike McKinney, Loren Dobson, and Dan Dixon all played in their 1000th career game.
David Pegas and Loren Dobson crossed the 600 run mark.
Jesus Hernandez passed 500 runs.
Dan Dixon and Jesus Hernandez cleared the 1000 hit mark. Mike McKinney ended the year at 996.
David Pegas cleared 300 career doubles and Dan Dixon and Mike McKinney cleared the 200 mark. Loren Dobson ended the 2031 season at 199.
Loren Dobson passed the 200 career HR mark.
David Pegas reached 300 career stolen bases and 500 walks.

Jim Fish reached 100 career wins finishing 2031 with 104.
Despite a nasty injury on the final day and final out of the season, closed Dan Butler reached 200 saves finishing with 224.
Zach Anderson reached 300 career starts and passed the 2000 innings pitched mark.
