AFBL Announces California Franchise

Baseball has arrived in the west coast and will be played in the state of California with the formation of the AFBL.

The new franchise will be known as the California Golden Eagles. The team will play their home games in the city of
Riverside. A contest is being held at the time of this writing to let the excited fans name the newly built stadium.
An announcement of the winning entry to name the park and team logos will be announced very soon.

The dimensions of the stadium are as follows:

Left field ? 345 feet
Left-center ? 370 feet
Center field ? 420 feet
Right-center ? 365 feet
Right field ? 330 feet

The AAA affiliate are the Long Beach Bears
The AA affiliate are the Pasedena Pacifics
The A affiliate are the Ventura Vipers
The Rookie league affiliate are the Lakeland Tigers.

Logos for the minors will also be announced at the same time of the parent club.
