2014 Draft Thread

We can begin the 2014 Amateur Draft while the playoffs start. Draft pick trades are allowed and player trades are opened up to non-playoff teams.

We can only have up to NC's pick if teams move that quickly. Iowa Corncobs are free to make their selection here in this thread and teams following. We'll draft here in this thread until the playoffs conclude where we'll then move to Statslab then our live draft night (likely sometime during the Sept 16th week).

When is the best night to hold our live portion of the draft? I'm unavailable Tuesday and Thursday but able to hold the draft Monday (tomorrow), Wednesday, or maybe Friday night. Any preferences?

Iowa is free to start the draft whenever. I will let everyone know when Statslab is ready for drafting (likely later tonight). Until then, make your picks here.

Seeing as my first pick is not until the 4th round, my opinion matters for not much Wednesday or Friday evenings (US times) both work for me.

Wednesday doesn't work for me. But, don't hold it up if that night is good for everybody else.

I'll be around tonight but watching the Eagles so its not really my first choice either.

Arizona and Ontario have 5 first round picks between them, they should just meet for coffee and hold the draft... lol

Edit: Of course I wrote that before seeing ON traded away one their first rounders. Still AZ should meet with whoever and hold a personal draft

Yeah, I'm going to try to coordinate the best night for Arizona if possible since Troy as a bunch of picks.

I'm working on getting Statslab ready for drafting but we can try to get as much drafting done using the forum to start then move to Statslab until we get a live draft scheduled for the remaining picks.

Eek... did we draft that many already? Or did the first 10 picks get auto'd accidentally??

I think everyone was already set to auto from the previous draft still and it just went ahead and picked for everyone... lol

Oops I guess I didn't remove everyone's Auto from the last draft. I've rolled back any picks the CPU tried to make.
