League Waits To Begin Season
The Commissioner's office has released a press league to make a few announcements as it prepares to get the first season of the AFBL underway. The start of the opening draft and season will be delayed until the league receives a press release from each franchise announcing their team name along with minor league team locations (which will be location within the major league's home state or any neighboring state without a team) and names. League officials also need to have an announcement about the franchise's stadium information.
AFBL Decides League Alignment, Allows Canadian Franchise
AFBL will be split up in two 8-team leagues based on geography, the Frontier League and the Patriot League. The league also will allow a franchise to call Ontario home. This wasn't in the league's original plan but sources indicate that the AFBL wouldn't be opposed to a 2nd Canadian team down the line as an expansion team.
