Koyama Set to Retire
Sunday, October 28th , 2068
It's a somber day for Lions fans as Ichiro Koyama announced that he will retire at the end of the 2068 season. The Kentucky reliever attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills.
"I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them."
In his career, Koyama has racked up 120 wins, 148 losses and 233 saves. His lifetime ERA is 4.08 in 1906 innings over 714 games.
