Anteaters Prevail, as High School Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire
|
The sweet swing of Adam Hilt has led his team through the High School Wildcard Series.
The Austin HS Anteaters star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Riverside HS Golden Hawks to advance to the High School LCS.
The Anteaters won the final game at Golden Hawks Ballpark by a score of 3-1 and the series 3-2.
"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Hilt. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."
For the series, Hilt hit .368 with a .478 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Austin HS Anteaters will play against the Tucson HS Pioneers in the next round. Tucson HS won their series against the Old Westbury HS Dukes 3 games to 1. The High School LCS schedule will be announced after the High School Wildcard Series finishes.
