Explorers Win to Extend Series Lead to 4-2
With starter Ed Cobb leading the charge, the Oregon Explorers defeated the Ohio Knights, 3-2, in Game 6 of the Federation Cup Series today. The left-hander threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs at Multnomah Stadium to help Oregon take a 4-2 lead in the best-of-9 series.

Daniel Spear dealt the Knights a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 1st and Oregon leading 1-0, Spear, who finished 5th in the FL in OPS with .822 in 2065, hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run home run.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Ohio manager .

Game 7 is scheduled for Saturday at Huntington Park in Columbus.
