Chapman Crushes 4 Home Runs
Even 4 home runs was not enough for the Havre de Grace Ducks.

The Ducks wasted a history-making game from third baseman Larry Chapman, coming out on the wrong end of an unlikely 13-8 San Luis Obispo Saints victory. Chapman put on a massive display of power against San Luis Obispo, smashing 4 home runs in 4 at-bats.

"There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Chapman, "but it doesn't often work. Well, it worked today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be. I just wished it had included a win."

The Havre de Grace third baseman went 4-for-4, had 6 RBIs, and scored 4 times in the game.

"That guy was basically unstoppable today," Saints manager said later. "Thankfully, it's a team sport."

Larry Chapman hit a two-run home run off Troy Kriss in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Troy Kriss in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Fumio Suzuki in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Yanis Baud in the 9th.
