Davidson Locks Down Empire Victory, Gets 500th Save
All you have to do is stroll in from the bullpen, get three outs, and you ring up a save. Sounds easy, doesn't it?

Just ask Mark Davidson of the New York Empire, the newest member of the elite 500-save club. He racked up his 500th in a 4-0 victory over the Pennsylvania Railroaders to reach that lofty level.

"No, it's never easy. Every save opportunity is an ordeal for me. Especially this one. Since I got number 500, I can now enjoy it. But tomorrow it all starts over again. The pressure never ends."

Since making his debut, Davidson has accounted for 500 saves. In 767 games, he has a 55-37 won-lost mark with 1423 strikeouts in 909.1 innings.
