Bridegrooms Rack Up 9-5 Win Versus North Carolina
|
Powered by Javier Torres, the Maryland Bridegrooms downed the North Carolina Aviators, 9-5. Torres was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Bridegrooms. Daniel Aguayo finished to wrap up his 3rd save. The win lifts Maryland to a record of 8-3.
César Collazo had a big 2-run home run for the Bridegrooms in the top of the fourth inning. With Maryland leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Marcus Bagley and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Bridegrooms on top, 5-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Torres said after the game.
