Bridegrooms Get Past Kentucky for 3-2 Win
The Maryland Bridegrooms racked up a win at Lions Stadium, bumping off the Kentucky Lions, 3-2. Al West, who started for Maryland, pitched effectively for his team. Matt French got credit for the save for Maryland. It was his 1st of the year. The loss puts Kentucky at 6-5.

Both team had trouble scoring runs. So, Jarrod Woodruff's at-bat in the top of the ninth was critical. With no one out, the Maryland left fielder hit a solo home run, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"We'll grab a barley pop and savor this win," said West.
