New York turned a good effort from starter Jose Ruiz into a win over the Ohio Knights at Huntington Park. The Empire won the game, 5-2. Todd Abela picked up the save, his 1st. With the win, New York boosts its record to 6-5.

Tony Salgado helped out the New York cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double and was hit by a pitch.
