Pennsylvania Picks Up Another L
|
The Kentucky Lions topped the Pennsylvania Railroaders, 9-2, in Patriot League action at Lions Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Kentucky pitcher and Caracas, Venezuela, native Judite Aldeinha. The winner was Aldeinha. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Oscar Gomez. The Railroaders fall to 9-13 and continue their sputtering start to the 2069 season.
Kentucky catcher Sam Sinclair contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 23rd hit of the season and put the Lions ahead, 4-0.
"What a dismal performance," lamented losing manager Mike Kritikos.
