Railroaders Upend Empire, 4-2
|
Pennsylvania got a strong outing from Oscar Gomez as the Railroaders defeated the New York Empire, 4-2, at The Empire. The save went to Lysander Kalergi, his 7th this season. The Empire fall to 10-15 and continue their uneven start to the 2068 season.
Pennsylvania used a well-timed hit by Jim Johnson to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Railroaders ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Gomez said his team "played with determination."
