Resonance Score Late, Top Bears, 5-3
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Washington Resonance and Colorado Bears.
David Evans left his imprint on the 5-3 Washington win against the Colorado Bears. Evans, who finished 5th in the FL in doubles with 49 last year, went 1-1 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Washington reliever Masanori Hayashi was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Danny Prater.
Evans had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 3-1 fastball from Nate Reed, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Resonance a 5-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Evans.
Evans attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
Colorado has now lost 4 consecutive games.
