The New York Empire beat the Alabama Yellowhammers by a score of 10-7. New York left fielder Ron Beals deserved the lion's share of the credit. Beals belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Empire. Victor Alejos got credit for the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings.
