Resonance Lose to Warhawks, 3-0
|
Illinois Warhawks starter Adam Booth hurled his team past the Washington Resonance, 3-0. Booth, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Illinois is now 17-24.
In the top of the ninth, David Evans stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Resonance were trailing 3-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Robby Hess made a terrific pitch and Evans struck out. Gone was the dream of a Washington comeback.
