Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Ontario Blue Pirates and Kentucky Lions.

The Ontario Blue Pirates trumped the Kentucky Lions, 5-3, at Lions Stadium. Ontario right fielder Jesus Capistran was terrific. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Ontario pitcher Rich Stout got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Joel Augustus got the loss.

Ontario relied on the hitting of Mike Freemann to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Pirates on top, 5-3. For the game, Freemann had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Freemann told the Ontario Bulletin.

Ontario has now won 3 straight, while the Lions have lost 3 in a row.
