Outlaws Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
Outlaw Park was the site of a competitive game between the Texas Outlaws and Arizona Vipers.
The Arizona Vipers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Plácido Dinares, who muffled the Texas offense en route to a tight 3-1 Vipers win at Outlaw Park. Dinares, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Trevor Snider earned the save, his 13th, for the Vipers.
Norm Laurent, the 23-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Laurent contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Arizona up, 1-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Laurent after the game.
Arizona leads the Frontier League West by 2½ games.
