Mallards Popped by Resonance, 6-2
|
The Washington Resonance took on the Minnesota Mallards at Dylan Park at Hennepin.
Washington got a strong outing from Mike Aviles as the Resonance defeated the Minnesota Mallards, 6-2, at Dylan Park at Hennepin. With the win, the Resonance have a record of 26-16.
Had Garrett Wilhelm not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Wilhelm hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Resonance.
Washington manager Larry Gomberg praised his team's "no BS approach."
