The New Mexico Danger met little resistance from the Illinois Warhawks, beating them, 13-1, at Todd Berry Memorial Field. Ryan Heller led the way. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for New Mexico. The Danger have now won 4 straight.

John Staples had a big 2-run double for the Danger in the top of the second inning. With New Mexico leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from Dennis Ackerstrom, who is tied for 7th in the FL with a 7.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Danger ahead, 3-0.

"I had a good game," said Staples. "Winning makes it even better."
