Yellowhammers Turn Back Bridegrooms, 4-2
|
Yellowhammers second baseman Ken Foster left his mark on his team's 4-2 win over the Maryland Bridegrooms. Foster, who finished 5th in the PL in home runs with 31 in 2065, went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for Alabama in the contest. Kasey Adams got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. Kyle Law finished the game for Alabama and earned his 8th save.
Rafael Laguna came through with a big-time hit for Alabama. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Winning never gets dull," said Laguna.
The win has Alabama at 17-29.
