Colorado had no answer for Minnesota Mallards starter Brett Pichler, who flummoxed Bears hitters as the Mallards cruised to victory, 13-1. Pichler, now 7-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Minnesota has now won 4 games in a row.

Minnesota used a clutch at-bat from Jeremy Robinson to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mallards ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Brett gave us a huge shot in the arm," said Minnesota manager Jason Dettbarn.
