Baez slugs 2 home runs in Lions Win
Kentucky center fielder Francisco Baez helped his team beat the Idaho Steelheads, 8-5. Baez, who finished 2nd in the PL in stolen bases with 61 in 2064, went 3 for 5 for the Lions. Roger McCoy earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 3-3. Kentucky is now 46-25.

Kentucky took the lead, 5-4, on Jose Jaramillo's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Idaho pitcher Carlos Benitez in the bottom of the seventh.

"We didn't play well enough to win," Idaho skipper Lawrence Tabachnick said.
