Rhea Leads Washington to 2-0 Win
|
Multnomah Stadium hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
Kyler Rhea never let Oregon get something going. The Washington right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Resonance to a 2-0 win. The Resonance, now 41-40, have won 8 in a row.
Rhea, a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia, was dealing all game. He kept Oregon hitters off-balance, while giving the Resonance 8 quality innings. Rhea threw 108 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.
"I like our vibe," said Rhea. "It's a winning vibe."
