Connell Helps California Bombard Idaho
The California Bulldogs blasted the Idaho Steelheads, 16-4. Brody Connell was one of the hitting stars. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for California. Miguel Castellanos, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-4. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Idaho's current losing streak is now 4 games.

With California leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Connell hit a fastball from Mike Soper for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Bulldogs ahead, 6-1.
