Vipers Top Steelheads, 5-1, Behind Medici
|
Arizona Vipers starter Greg Medici was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Idaho Steelheads, 5-1. Arizona is now 47-37.
Medici, a native of La Center, Kentucky, was dealing all game. He kept Idaho hitters off-balance, while giving the Vipers 7.1 quality innings. Medici threw 106 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 9.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Vipers manager Alex Cumana, "I like our chances."
