Outlaws Win, Now 53-33
|
Texas starter Josh Bang pitched effectively against the Minnesota Mallards at Dylan Park at Hennepin. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. Bang picked up the win for Texas, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 6-7. Russ Watson closed the door for Texas, picking up his 28th save of the year.
Antonio Carrasquillo, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Carrasquillo contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Texas up, 3-0.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Carrasquillo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
